Things heat up in the Desert this weekend as the Olympia Fitness Weekend rolls into Vegas for another year celebrating Bodybuilding, Fitness and Sports Nutrition – the sport, the industry and the way of life that has given rise so many heroes, so many superstars and has given so many individuals the chance to dream and the mechanism to pursue those dreams and a pathway to building a better self…

The Olympia Expo is a must-see, circus-world for those in the game or wishing to learn what’s current in the field of High-Performance – the industry of Sports Nutrition, where the relentless pursuit by a science-based subculture to constantly find ways to boost human performance through nutritional interventions…quite possibly the GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH for athletes, fitness enthusiasts and individuals who want to be stronger, fitter, healthier…Vegas is the perfect setting for such a circus-world of superheroes!

Pete Ciccone, NPC USA Runner up, 2010, and former Mr. California, this bodybuilding champion is a MAN Sports advocate and a busy physique consultant who oversees the training and nutritional programs of dozens of competitive athletes and fitness enthusiasts. This weekend, Pete will be competing at the first-ever Olympia Pound4Pound World’s Strongest Bodybuilder…when he’s not competing against some of the most powerful physique athletes in the world, Pete will be at the MAN Sports booth, answering questions and chatting about MAN Sports powerful products! Be sure to visit the booth and say hello!

Khay Rosemond, NPC Bikini Champion, Fitness model: Khay has had a tremendous 2010, winning overall titles at two very competitive Southern California NPC contests, and placing top 5 in the IFBB North Americans pro qualifier. Khay is a MAN Sports advocate who utilized several MAN Sports products during the most recent successful competitive outings. Khay will be attending the MAN Sports booth, and can tell you first hand how the stack of Body Octane, Figure Fuel, Scorch, Vaporize, and a little bit of Swagger thrown in, can help you dial in your physique to strut onstage and earn those top honors. MAN Sports – Born 2 Perform!

It was another high-energy night, packed with fit physiques, loads of beef and high-performance athletes everywhere you turned! And MAN Sports was there, in the center of the action! Veteran Promoter Jon Lindsay boasted another successful NPC/IFBB competition, hosting his annual TOC, and the second IFBB Pro Bikini competition of the year for the SoCal region.

When the dust settled, Pro Bikini competitor Sonia Gonzalez would come away with the money in the pro division, but all the athletes were champions this night. The industry media was out in full force tonight as well, with photogs and columnists from Bodybuilding.com, Ironman magazine and Flex, covering the event, and snapping away pics of Meriza and Khay!

Swagger was a hit with competitors and attendees alike, once again at this show! As the long evening wore on, more people visited the booth, seeking a “bump” for their mood, and their mental focus…the girls had just what they needed to boost their Swagger! We sold out of the product we brought to the show this evening – so there’s a testament to the impact of MAN Sports brain-boosting focus and energy product! Meriza and Khay also sampled Scorch and shared information about the rest of our high-Performance line! It was great to see everyone who made it out to the TOC this year! Next stop for our lovely ladies, the big show – the Olympia in Vegas in just 2 weeks! See you all there!

MERIZA’S High Protein Pancakes!!

Ok, everyone, here’s a simple, healthy recipe for my High power, protein Pancakes that will give you tons of slow absorbing energy, a healthy dose of anti-oxidants and fiber, and plenty of muscle building protein to help you achieve your own perfect physique!
Meriza’s Protein Pancakes
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup quick oats (they mix easier)
• 2 large whole eggs
• 4 large egg whites
• 2 scoops of your favorite whey protein
• 1 cup fresh blueberries
• 2/3-1 cup water
Directions: Mix all ingredients together in large mixing bowl. pour onto pam-covered teflon frying pan. Cook as if regular pancakes. Makes 2 servings
Nutrition information per serving:
Calories: 278
Protein: 33
Carbs: 23 fats: 6
Try these sprinkled with 1 packet of Splenda, or I can’t believe it’s not butter spray (only a few squirts!) You’re gonna love ‘em! They are good for you, taste great, and are quite filling!

Meriza’s “lil’ sister”, fast-rising bikini star and MAN Sports athlete rep, KHAY ROSEMOND, strutted and smiled her way into the money this weekend at the IFBB North Americans pro-qualifier and international competition. Khay has had a tremendous year, working hard and taking 2nd place at the prestigious Emerald Cup in April, and following that top placing with 2 class wins and overall trophies to boot at her next two shows, the long-running Orange County Muscle Classic and the fast-growing West Coast Classic 6 weeks later.

Khay worked hard to get into her best shape yet – and the hard work showed, as she worked her way into the top 5 finalists at the highly competitive North Americans. Be sure to keep your eye on this little athlete as she sets her sites even higher! We know the sky’s the limit with Ms. Khay!

IFBB Pro Figure competitor, Olympian and MAN Sports athlete, Meriza DeGuzman, entertained a visit by photographer and good friend, Terry Goodlad, earlier this year. The result? This very cool video of Meriza hammering her lower half in preparation for the 2010 California IFBB Pro Figure contest.
